Description
I know this isn’t usually how people start, but I think there’s a certain type of person who enjoys spending a long time in the bathroom reading a newspaper or scrolling through their phone. Imagine living in an apartment where the restroom is bathed in natural light all day thanks to its south-facing window, and the only sound breaking the silence is the chirping of birds.
And if we’d like to take relaxation a step further, let’s move on to the spacious eat-in kitchen. In the mornings, you can watch the sunrise over Hármashatár Hill through the kitchen window overlooking the back garden. We often enjoyed admiring the roses from the window while having our morning coffee.
The living room is equally special and full of possibilities. The adjoining room can be a dining room, a home office, or anything else you might want it to be. The best part is that it can also be opened up to the living room, creating an even larger and more spacious living area.
Surprisingly, this apartment is always tidy. I’m not joking—there’s a large walk-in wardrobe that swallows up everything. It’s incredibly practical and aesthetically pleasing, and I’m not saying that because I designed it; it was actually left this way by the previous owner.
Now we’ve arrived at the bedroom—a pleasant and intimate space. What I loved about it is that it’s neither too small nor too large. It comfortably accommodates a double bed that can be accessed from both sides, and really, that’s all you need.
And finally, the bathroom: featuring a unique stone washbasin and a corner bathtub, it’s the perfect place for a relaxing spa-like experience at home.
I’m genuinely not being biased when I say that living here is a lifestyle. It’s ideal for those who enjoy hiking or sports, for anyone who longs for fresh air, for those who want to live surrounded by greenery while still having easy access to public transport.
If you’d like to view the apartment, I’d actually suggest arriving ten minutes early and simply taking a walk around the neighborhood. The tram, just a five-minute walk away, takes you to Széll Kálmán Square, but honestly, once you live here, you rarely feel the need to go into the city center. Everything you need is right here within minutes: a small shopping center (Hüvi Plaza), an evening bar, Lidl, a pharmacy, a post office, nurseries, kindergartens, a school (the French School), and much more.
But what truly makes this place special is that the forest is only 30 meters away. There’s no need to plan family outings, hikes with friends, or even solo walks in nature—being outdoors can simply become part of everyday life. You can step into the woods whenever you need to clear your mind, recharge, and reflect.
If you're looking for a calmer, more balanced way of life, this apartment and its surroundings certainly won’t stand in your way. :-)
