Description
The main façade of the three-storey, five-level Neuschloss rental palace—built in a historicist style—faces south, overlooking the Reformed Church that forms the focal point of Szilágyi Dezső Square.
The building was designed in 1898–99 by Kornél Neuschloss, one of the most sought-after and respected architects of his time.
Between 2016 and 2019, the building's three façades and central staircase underwent a full heritage restoration, and the property now shines in its original splendour. With its restored monochrome façade, the building has become a defining landmark of the Buda riverside and the Danube panorama.
Today, most of the building functions as an office building. To meet modern standards, a central reception desk with continuous front desk service has been installed on the ground floor, along with a modern communication network and a selective waste collection system.
