Description
PRIVATE FLAT IN NEED OF COMPLETE RENOVATION FOR SALE NEAR THE GELLÉRT SPA. The house is situated on the southern slope of Gellért Hill, right next to the new Gellért Campus of Corvinus University of Budapest, in an extremely quiet, wooded, green setting. Originally a caretaker’s flat, it requires complete renovation and connection to mains services. The flat comprises: one room with a floor area of 22.60 m², one half-room of 9.86 m², a kitchen of 14.84 m², and a bathroom of 3.93 m². The ceiling height is 3.25 metres. A brief look at the house. The building was designed in 1926 by Gyula Waelder, one of the busiest and most highly regarded architects of his time. The façade is characterised by semi-circular, gently projecting risalits, the rhythm of the mullioned windows, and the elegant bourgeois use of space, which blends harmoniously with the enclosed, intimate green front garden. During the post-war nationalisations, the upper-middle-class flats were divided into several smaller residential units, resulting in the building’s current form as a block of flats.
