Dugonics Street is located in a quieter part of Budapest's 8th district. ELTE Botanical Garden is approximately a one-minute walk away, while several buildings of Semmelweis University and the Ludovika University of Public Service are also just a few minutes' walk away.

Nagyvárad tér and the Klinikák metro station are approximately a 10-minute walk away, providing access to the M3 metro line and tram lines 23 and 24.

Several other tram and bus services are also easily accessible. Kálvária tér, served by buses 9 and 99 and trolleybuses 72 and 83, and Orczy tér, served by trams 23, 24 and 28, are approximately 5–10 minutes away on foot.

József körút, the 4–6 tram line and Corvin-negyed are approximately a 15-minute walk away.

Small shops, a local restaurant and a tobacco shop are just 1–2 minutes away on foot, while LIDL, ALDI and SPAR can be reached within approximately 10–15 minutes on foot.
