The zoning classification of the land is Gá-8154, which means general economic area. According to paragraph 20/A of the National Development Plan, the area is intended for the placement of commercial, service and warehouse buildings with no significant negative impact on the environment. Furthermore, the general economic area may also accommodate buildings:
a) offices,
(b) student or worker housing associated with the economic area,
(c) an educational establishment providing secondary or tertiary vocational training linked to the economic area,
(d) a nursery school, day nursery, health care centre, or a
health care.
No independent residential building may be located in the general economic area. Only one service dwelling may be constructed on a plot within the building for economic activities and only one service dwelling, as defined in the local building regulations.
