Description
Baroque style castle a short distance from Budapest. Main building 600m2, basement 400m2 below, two annexes each 200m2 in size. Water, electricity and wells are provided. About 10 years ago, all three buildings received a new roof structure, the facade was renewed and the external windows and doors were also replaced.
The Prónay castle and some of its outbuildings stood on a hill next to the main street of the village, in a former ornamental park of several hectares. The baroque-style castle was built between 1735-40 by Gábor Prónay I. The former main entrance is a garden gate with a basket-arched opening standing alone on the edge of the park, decorated with a large stone coat of arms. At the corners of the main building with a one-story rectangular floor plan and a hipped gable roof, there are strongly projecting towers with mansard roofs. The large hall upstairs has stucco decoration. There was a stable in one of the two-story outbuildings, and the other was the so-called picture house, which was rebuilt and got a new roof chair. The wall of the outdoor staircase in front of the castle is enriched by an ornamental fountain. The building was continuously inhabited and modernized by the heirs. The XIX In the 19th century, an annex wing - a bath house - was added to the castle, and farm buildings were also erected at that time. In 1860, the main building was completely renovated in neo-baroque style. Later, in the 1940s, the building was renovated and modernized again. The II. During World War II, the front passed through Acsa several times. A military hospital was set up in the castle. The garden was hit by a bomb, nothing was left of the equipment. At the very end of the 1940s, the National Guard occupied the castle. It was declared a closed area and used as a warehouse. After the regime change, the treasury became the owner of the castle. Then after 1945 it was a TSZ office, then an elementary school, then it was bought by the News Materials Factory. Today it is privately owned. The coat of arms of the Prónay family was placed on the broken-line pediment, but the coat of arms disappeared around 1980.
The impressive, sophisticated exterior of the listed building does not require a lot of effort. The design of the interior spaces can be realized by taking into account individual needs and business goals. A unique opportunity. It can be viewed flexibly. Unencumbered. Available for immediate possession. Feel free to call me, let's discuss on the details.
