A 60-square-meter house on a 1000-square-meter plot with regular boundaries, located on flat land just 800 meters from the center of Orfű and accessible via a paved road, is for sale by a private owner.

Orfű is the region’s most popular holiday resort, located about 15 kilometers from Pécs. Its main attraction is its four artificial lakes. Water lovers can enjoy a free beach, fishing, kayaking, cycling, sailing, and boating. For hiking enthusiasts, the unique cave system of the Mecsek Mountains invites you on adventure tours, while the 11-meter Balázs Hill Lookout Tower offers a great view of Lake Pécs and the western part of the Mecsek. Some of the region’s finest hiking destinations also include the Dragon Spring (Sárkány-forrás), Dragon Well (Sárkány-kút), and the Vízfő Nature Trail. The terrain is also excellent for cycling: for example, the Orfű–Kovácsszénája–Abaliget lake-loop circuit is 19 km long with a 233-meter elevation gain, easily completed by anyone in about an hour.

The village offers everything required for year-round permanent living: nursery, kindergarten, primary school, GP surgery, pharmacy, post office, and grocery store.

A thermal bath—and a brewery—can be found in neighboring Magyarhertelend, while the advantages of being close to Pécs need no explanation.

One of Hungary’s best festivals, Fishing on Orfű, offers great events and concerts every year at the end of June; by January, it is nearly impossible to find accommodation in Orfű.
