This charming little off-grid self-catering house is located on one of the peaks of the Börzsöny Mountains, only 40 km from Budapest. The house is an ideal refuge for those living in the bustling city, who would like to escape from the hustle and bustle of the big city to a quiet, peaceful natural environment with the chirping of birds.

Main features of the property

Idyllic location:
The house, located at an altitude of 250 meters above sea level, is located in the heart of the forest, on Nárcisz Street, in the village of Kismaros (Börzsönyliget). With a short walk in the forest, you can admire the ranges of the Börzsöny Mountains with the winding Danube, and with a bit of luck you can meet deer on the way and pick delicious blackberries and raspberries.

A professionally built shelter that radiates warmth and atmosphere:
The carefully designed 24 m 2 brick house exudes a cozy atmosphere, and the outside is covered with sophisticated thick wooden slats. The house was built in the 1980s. It consists of two small cozy rooms with large windows and a small kitchen. And the 14 m 2 semi-covered terrace provides the perfect place to relax, enjoy the view and enjoy peaceful moments. In the 980 m 2 wooded area, you can enjoy not only peace, but also good air and the charm of the true sound of nature, all without direct neighbors.
The property also includes a toilet with a wooden toilet and a small tool storage. For this, we are giving away a completely new mobile toilet, the tank of which can be emptied into the potty toilet.
The floors in the rooms were covered with linoleum, which we picked up and transported, and the re-covering of the rooms will await the future owner according to his needs and tastes.


Sustainable Off-Grid innovative self-sufficiency:

Water supply:
Due to the high location of the house, there is no water service. A drinking well is available for obtaining fresh drinking water at the beginning of the road leading to the house (free of charge) or from a small spring not far from the house. One 80 liter and Two 20-liter water collection cans and a couple of 10-liter cans are available for collecting drinking water.

Power supply:
The electricity pole is located approximately 200 meters from the house. To ensure the power supply, we also provide a completely new gasoline-powered generator and a battery free of charge, with the help of which sufficient electricity can be easily produced and stored.

Gas supply, Heating:
In order to cook efficiently, we are giving away a retro iron gas stove (cooking and baking functions) with two gas cylinders, as well as a classic, small sparhelt with an iron plate roof, which works in one of the bedrooms of the house, with a single chimney outlet, so the rooms are ideal in winter due to the "heating element function" for clean and smoke-free heating. For this, we provide free firewood, which will be enough for one or two years.



Proximity to nature:
The Börzsönyliget not only presents us with the lesser-known vantage points of the Danube Bend, but also the diverse, sometimes gentle, sometimes wild parts of the Börzsöny landscape, where we can see forgotten historical points of interest in addition to the beauty of nature. Various hiking trails lead us both to the more hidden and well-known parts of the Börzsöny landscape, while we can admire several vantage points showing the characteristic features of Magas-Börzsöny and the unique beauty of the Danube Bend. We can also enjoy the proximity of popular and varied tourist destinations, all in the heart of the triangle bounded by Visegrád, Zebegény and Királyrét. And the Danube offers many opportunities for both water sports lovers and bathers at Kismaros, Nagymaros and Verőce.

Close but yet far:
The Börzsönyliget is located in a picturesque environment, directly at the mouth of the Morgó stream, in its valley, at the foot of the Börzsöny Mountains. Although the idyllic location is far from the sound of urbanization, Kismaros Község is easily accessible from Budapest by train, bus and even by boat. (according to timetables)
Access by car: you can drive up to the top of the mountain on an asphalted road, and from there on a dirt road.
Accessible on foot: a good 25-30 minute walk along a nice hiking trail.
