About the house
A spacious three-storey family home with large, bright interiors. Built in 1988 from Durisol blocks – an eco-friendly building material made from mineralised wood chips and concrete.
Durisol benefits: excellent sound insulation and sound absorption, high thermal mass, vapour-permeable "breathing" wall structure, REI 180 fire resistance (3 hours), and the material is non-absorbent, so the wall's properties don't degrade over the years.
The roof has a wooden structure, is insulated, and is finished with Bramac roof tiles.
