Sarud is also among the settlements that make up the Lake Tisza priority tourist development area. Rightly so, as it has one of the most beautiful shorelines, the location designated as a recreation area in the master plan is extremely favorable. The 13 hectares of coastal land in every respect meet the strategic program of the Lake Tisza priority tourist development area for the period 2017-2030, primarily for the purpose of health tourism development, thanks to the high-quality thermal water. The regulatory plan has designated the area for tourism investment, which provides ample opportunities for all kinds of thermal tourism, medical, health, sports development, even for a high-level seniors' resort.

The project complies with numerous domestic and EU tenders, so it can expect significant support.

The 10-hectare property is located on the shores of Lake Tisza. High-performance infrastructure is available for the development (electricity, water and sewage pipes, asphalt road). The thermal well is in a positive, currently closed state. Its quality is indicated by the fact that it is fed by the Hajdúszoboszló vein. The depth of the well is 1000 m, its yield is 1000 l/min, its water is rich in minerals, and its temperature is 50 C. The thermal water ensures 4-season operation, so that the unique ecotourism attractions of the environment can welcome visitors all year round.

A large sailing and yacht marina is being built on the adventure beach in front of us, and Europe's second largest AQUAGLIDE water playground is located nearby. The beaches, the Adventure Beach, and water and land games and attractions add to the experience.



The mineral content of the water is 1378 milligrams/liter, mainly rich in sodium. It is important that, taking into account European Union regulations, both the arsenic, boron and iodine content remain well below the limit values set for drinking water. Based on the measured data, the methane content of the water is very high, which can also be the basis for a possible additional utilization in this direction.
