THE CASTLE
One of the special historical values of Zala County, featuring unique characteristics, in excellent technical condition, with a well-arranged ownership background and the possibility of quick possession.
Built in the 19th century at the request of a royal chief counsellor, it still preserves its original status and character with dignity. The exceptional value of the property is further enhanced by the fact that, unlike a significant part of the domestic castle stock, it has never become abandoned: over the decades it has been continuously operated, maintained and developed, and has always functioned under careful ownership.
The completion of its classical splendor is associated with one of the founders of the First Hungarian Savings Bank, while its current elegant and economically well-interpretable form is thanks to the present owners, who by 1998 transformed the building into a 4-star castle hotel. The developments did not stop at establishing the hotel function: the technical modernization of the property also received special attention, as part of which a complete heating modernization was carried out in 2019, and solar collectors were also installed, which represents a significant advantage even according to today’s operational and sustainability aspects.
