My Tulip-House (102m2) is located in the fabolous Kercaszomor village. It can be found in the territory of the Hungarian National Őrségi Park, one of the best places in Hungary where there is still green grass, water, nature, deers, all you could wish for. Slovenia is 2 km away at the end of the village. Austria is 45 mins away. The Őrség region is very rich in nature and also in heritage, a favorite destination of visitors and a place sought by many to live and enjoy.

The house was built by our ancestors over a hundred years ago. It is a typical yet very rarely found type of house in the area, a real unique treasure these days. The architecture follows the traditional building standards. The house has 50 cm thick walls built from brick, which ensures that the house keeps cool in the summer and warm in winter times. We also have a tile stove in the house along with electric heating panels to guard the cozy winter days. The house has also got an alarm system and a solar panel system that provides the electricity needed for the entire house all year round.

Upon entering the house you immediately feel how spacious and bright it is. Entering the kitchen, you can find the traditional green tile stove of our grandma's where it is amazing to sit and enjoy its incredible warmth. The kitchen has all appliances needed along with a lovely corner sitting furniture. It is the heart of the house.

On the left side to the kitchen you can find a huge living room with antique furniture and a German antique tile stove. The room is also combined with modern furniture from Ikea to support comfort. The biggest treasure though is if you look up and see the traditional tulip designed wooden ceiling. There are only 3 houses left in the village and very few if any at all in the Őrség preserving this original architecture.

On the right side of the house next to the kitchen is the master bedroom. It is also bright and spacious. Currently it is furnished in a vintage style with a Super King Sized bed (180cm). Windows around the entire house have shutters and each room has also window screens to keep the busy bees outside.

At the end of the corridor is the bathroom that has an elongated shape with plenty of space and a shower. It also has a window and this is the place where you can access the rooftop. The top level of the house has solid ground from concrete, therefore it can be re-built and can function as an extension of the house. The roof is from tiles above the timbers and it is entirely dry.

The entire size of the house and the garden is 1363 m2. This includes a barn (cca 45m2) in good condition where you can either keep all your outdoor belongings and also park 2 cars. The garden has a separate market garden area where the soil is very fertile, so it is ideal for strawberries, tomatoes, etc. We also have a nice little barn-house for chickens if you wish to grow and eat your own farm eggs. There is another private back garden behind the tulip fences. The house also has a cellar underneath that could host great wines. We also have traditional apple trees from which one of the best hungarian drink, the Palinka is made from. We have our own Tulip House Palinka, happy to share with the new owner.

The house is great and comfortable for everyday life, home office but also operates since years as seasonal, fully booked guest house, therefore it can also be a business investment.
